Properties with VTS’ portfolio management access module can enable their teams to invite users and assign them access to specific suites and spaces whenever they need. This article will walk through the invitation process for both property access admins and company access admins, which you can learn more about here.
Property access admins
Property access admins can edit mobile access or access control groups across the building—this means they can add new users to specific tenant or company channels too.
To invite new users and enable their mobile access:
- Head to team management under property settings.
- Click the team you want to invite people to—often it’ll be workplace members.
- Click invite users.
- Select enable mobile access.
- Choose which access control groups apply—you can multi-select as many as you need.
- Select also add users to a tenant company channel.
- Search for the tenant you need.
- Add user details—name and email. You can upload a CSV if you have a lot of users to invite at once.
- Click send invites.
Once someone accepts the invite in their email, they’ll be added to the mobile access page under access control.
To remove a user:
- Go to team management and click the relevant team.
- Search for the user or users, then select them by clicking the checkbox.
- Click the remove button.
- Choose confirm.
Company access admins
Company access admins are responsible for users in their own company or suite. When you invite new members to your channel, you can add them to your suite’s access control groups too:
- Head to team management under channel settings.
- Click the team you want to invite people to—usually it’ll be workplace members.
- Click invite users.
- Select enable mobile access.
- Choose which access control groups apply—you can multi-select as many as you need.
- Add user details—name and email. You can upload a CSV if you have a lot of users to invite at once.
- Click send invites.
After the new users accept the invite email, they’ll show up in the mobile access page under access control.
To remove a user:
- Go to team management and click the relevant team.
- Search for the user or users, then select them by clicking the checkbox.
- Click the remove button.
- Choose confirm.
