After initial sign-up, you can choose to update or change your workplace settings. This includes changing your notification preferences and switching workplaces.
Notification Settings
When first creating an account in Activate, users can choose to opt-in to marketing communications, including messages about workplace updates and event notifications.
- Email: If you do not agree to the the marketing communications, email permissions will be disabled. This can be changed later in your workplace settings
- Push notifications: Enabled by default
- SMS (Text messages): Disabled by default. This can be changed in your workplace settings.
Change notification settings
To change the way you receive notifications, you need to navigate to your workplace settings by clicking the gear icon along the top ribbon.
From here, you will see your communication preferences for your primary workplace. Select which types of marketing communications you will receive using the checkboxes.
If you belong to more than one workplace, you will see additional options.
Lastly, you will see the option to Mute all Notifications. Clicking this will bring up a prompt asking you to select which workplaces you want to mute notifications from, starting with your primary workplace. Click Confirm to proceed.
Configure Workplace settings on mobile
On mobile, log into your Activate app and locate your profile.
Navigate to workplace settings.
Once in Workplace settings, configure your notification preferences.
Tap Mute all Notifications, and then select your workplace preferences.
