This document outlines the required information and steps your team needs to provide and complete to prepare for the integration of your Access Control System (ACS) using Braxos Property Hub.
Property Hub is an identity and access management application that allows VTS to interact with your ACS. It utilizes WebSocket secure connections to enable the secure exchange of information between your on-prem or cloud-based ACS and VTS’ cloud-based servers. The Property Hub Agent is deployed on a physical or virtual server to integrate with your ACS’s API’s and connects to the Property Hub cloud via an outbound connection. Note that Property Hub is stateless and does not store Access Control or VTS application data.
Task 1: Required Information
Please provide the following contact and logistical details to facilitate the deployment and remote configuration of the Property Hub Appliance/Agent:
| Primary Technical Contact Name | Full name of the main technical contact for the integration. |
| Primary Technical Contact Email | Email address for the primary contact. |
| Shipping Address | Physical address for shipping the Braxos Property Hub Gateway Appliance (if Braxos is providing the hardware). |
| Available Configuration Dates/Times | Please provide at least two preferred dates and 2-hour time slots (including your time zone) for a remote configuration session with Braxos staff via TeamViewer or similar remote session tool. |
Task 2: Infrastructure Preparation Steps
The following tasks must be completed by your Building IT team before the scheduled remote configuration session. These tasks ensure the correct physical installation and network connectivity for the Property Hub Gateway Appliance (PHGA).
| Task | Task Owner | Details |
| Install Property Hub Gateway Appliance (PHGA) | Building IT | The PHGA is installed in a Building IT Closet or Main Distribution Frame (MDF). If Braxos provides the Appliance, it is typically a Dell Optiplex Micro running Windows. Alternatively, a customer-provided virtual or physical Windows or Linux server can be used. |
| Establish Internet Connectivity | Building IT | Establish Physical CAT5/6 Cable Connectivity to an internet source (typically via a network switch/VLAN switch). This cable is physically connected to the PHGA NIC1. The Property Hub Agent requires access to the internet via the property’s public IP to connect to the cloud application and for remote configuration access. |
| Establish Connectivity to ACS | Building IT | The Property Hub Appliance must have network access to the ACS. |
| Provide TeamViewer Access | Building IT | The TeamViewer Client ID and password must be provided to Braxos. |
| Grant Outside Connectivity | Building IT | Grant Outside connectivity to the PHGA so that TeamViewer allows access by Braxos staff for configuration and support. This includes any necessary firewall rules or routing configured in advance of the deployment. Inbound internet traffic can be blocked; the agent connects to the Property Hub cloud via an outbound connection. |
| Create API/Operator Profile on ACS | Building IT | Create a user profile with admin rights that the BraxOs API can use to perform user management functions. Share credentials. |
Remote Configuration Session
During the scheduled remote configuration session, a Braxos staff member will use the provided TeamViewer access to remotely install and configure the Property Hub Agent to integrate with your ACS API(s). Once configured, VTS will connect to the secure Property Hub API to interact with your ACS data. There may be additional system configuration required during this session.
