Client Prerequisites
These items must be completed before VTS can begin configuration.
Access
- Supported DSX Version: 6.0, 6.1

Enable xp_cmdshell on DSX server using sp_configure
- See Microsoft Documentation
- This configuration is required to avoid errors related to some command permission: SQL Server blocked access to procedure 'sys.xp_cmdshell' of component 'xp_cmdshell'. This error is thrown as this component is turned off as part of the security configuration for this server.

Configure DSX UDF for Email
- must be Required and Unique, both marked as “true” in DSX
- share the UDF name with your VTS representative
- Configure DSX UDF for ProviderUserId (used by Activate for writes)
- Create and share DSX admin credentials (suggested username: VTSuser): username, password, server URL
- Confirm Shared File Path (not read-only) where WinDSX is installed (e.g. C:\WinDSX6)
- Confirm email addresses are populated in DSX cardholder profiles. Users without email will not be synced or provisioned mobile credentials

Locations:
- Location Group - (LocGroup) Group of locations.
- Users with same email and name can exist at different LocGrp.
- LocGrp is mandatory to use for all WRITE, UPDATE and DELETE type operations.

Upon selecting ‘Location Group’ value below configs appear:
- Email UDF - The user-defined field created on DSX for Email
- Activate UserId UDF - ProviderUserId, used internally in DSX for WRITE operation, is a Primary Key and will be used as Provider User ID in Activate
